4/29/09 Mike has unfortunately left the studio for other opportunities, and we're back in the market for another business development guru. Please refer to our ad at:
http://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/bus/1142196841.html 4/02/09 We're happy to welcome Mike Vlasak to the team this week! Mike is moving to Boston in a week or so, and will be heading up business development for the studio. Mike's got alot of good experience and we're looking forward to working together as he drums up interest and gets the appropriate people salivating for our product. =)
Game has undergone a fairly sizeable redesign in the last two months, as well as being ported out of Torque and over to the XNA development environment. Both of these developments are positive things, and having them both happen at the same time has actually been helpful. 2/09/09 We kept a pretty decent head of steam through the holidays, and as such the our proof-of-concept level is just about ready for showing to eyeballs outside the company. We'll be doing a mini-playtest alongside submissions to distributors to gauge interest. It's a little nerve-wracking to show your work to people for the first time...but I know it will be extremely helpful. Strange eyes can often point out obvious things that we no longer see because we're so deep inside of it all. 11/19/08 Having Josh around has been great...the first week and 1/2 of him being here have been transformational. The amount of code/functionality that's been implemented in such a short amount of time is staggering. Josh now has a bio up over in the About Us section.
Additionally, I've added some new art to the Games section...Victoria has kept it coming fast and furious, and you can see animation for the baby monster and that the preliminary UI is shaping up. 11/07/08 Some slight delays in the past two months due to the whole GETTING MARRIED thing, but the game is still progressing nicely. Plus I'm very happy to stay that Chump Studios has come in to a very new and very talented Lead Programmer, one Mr. Josh Corn. Welcome Josh! 9/03/08 Updated the GAMES section to include a few more sketches coming in from our very talented artist, Victoria Maderna ( http://entdroid.absens.net ). Victoria has been great to work with and is really giving us the look and feel we want for our monsters and backgrounds. 9/02/08 Postings have changed yet AGAIN on the
Jobs portion of the site. We're now looking for an experienced Torque programmer to help round us out.
Overall I'd like to report that the project is going quite well and I'm really happy with where the design is these days. It feels, in all truth, like a winner...all that's left is the execution. 7/11/08 Postings have again changed on the jobs portion of the site. We're now looking for an excellent 2D artist to begin creating content for our flagship title. 7/7/08 I'm delighted to say that today Chump Studios hired Brent Marinello as Lead Programmer. Consequently, after all the paperwork was signed, the studio went right in to its first full day of official game development. Brent, Phil and I are now chugging merrily along towards our deliverables.
6/2/08 Postings have changed on the Jobs portion of the site, Chump Studios is now looking for programmers of all shapes and sizes to begin work on our flagship title (as yet unannounced). Check it out!

No, we are not selling dentures (though I hear it's an up an coming market). We're just having some trouble uprooting images from the website, hope to have it fixed soon.
